Originally numbered article I, section 18, this section has never been amended.

The Legislative Assembly publishes the constitution showing this section without a comma after the word seizures: &lt;https://www.legis.nd.gov/constit/a01.pdf&gt;.

The 1889 original draft constitution does not appear to include a comma after the word seizures.</description>
